KIDSCARE @ VIVA FITNESS

DO YOU NEED A GYM WITH CRECHE?

As part of our Viva family values, we offer a gym with Creche facilities for your loved ones!

We strive to provide a warm, friendly, safe and happy environment for your children, whilst you enjoy your workout. We know how important that is for your sanity!!!!
So while you get some me time we will engage your children with learning through play techniques and enrichment games including drawing, painting, puzzles, reading and building blocks.

BOOKING SYSTEM

To ensure your child’s safety and wellbeing we have a set limit of children to carers.
We ask that you book your children in up to one week in advance.
Bookings follow this simple system:
1) Bookings can be made through the Kids Care team or the Facebook Group called
VIVA FITNESS KIDS CARE
2) Cancellations may be made via the facebook group or by calling 8353 5533. You must notify us if you will not be attending.

THINGS TO REMEMBER

We ask that you use the booking sheet to sign your child in on arrival, so we can establish which child belongs to whom.

When arriving & leaving, we ask that you apply the antibacterial gel to your children’s hands to ensure we minimize the chance for germs to spread.

When dropping off your child we ask that you close the door behind you so our little explorers don’t escape!

FOOD

To help make your children’s Kids Care experience a happy one we suggest bringing in a small healthy snack along with a labeled water bottle.
It is essential that all Kids Care staff are made aware of ANY allergies however minor they may be.
We need to respect that some children have allergies and therefore we are a NUT FREE ZONE.
Additionally, we ask that no food that can be a choking hazard be brought into Kids Care- this includes popcorn, lollipops and hard candies. Some ideal snack suggestions include:
sliced or whole fruit (no grapes), wholemeal sandwiches and oatmeal cookies.

TOILET STOPS

For children being toilet trained, we encourage parents to please pack a labeled bag with spare clothing & pull-ups as our toilet is a short walk away. We also advise you to take your children to the bathroom prior to commencing your workout.
For babies and children in nappies, please bring spare nappies, wipes and nappy sacks in a labeled bag so we can respond to nappy changes.

AGES

We encourage children from as early as 6 weeks in our kidscare.

We recommend babies to come with prams if they require naps, so we can settle them in the safety of their own pram.

We also welcome older children into our kidscare. We oftern have older siblings come in during the school holidays – at which time we employ extra staff.
This staff will run a variety of games and activities suited to the older kids, to keep them moving and their brains engaged, without impacting the time required for the younger babies while they are there.

While we understand that screens and electronic devices have become a staple in many homes, we do encourage parents to try not to pack them into your childrens bags. Sometimes they can effect the way the children interact and we would rather try to engage other ways to keep them engaged while in kidscare. Again, we understand if it is a requirement .

SECURITY

To ensure your child feels comfortable we suggest that you pack their comforter.
That may be a dummy, a favourite toy, security blanket a bottle or pusher.
We will also give plenty of cuddles if needed; however if your child becomes extremely distressed we will  of course come and notify you – the beauty of a family club like this – is that we all understand that sometimes is is just as hard for the mum as it may be for the child, if leaving them for the first time. We will always respect your wishes and keep you as informed as possible.

Remember, even if you leave them for 10 minutes the first time and build from there – they will soon understand that mum always comes back – and this play room is actually a lot of fun!
